2011 Chess For Kids Chess Camps
Chess for all levels for 2nd through 8th Graders

Per Day Fee Note: Beginners must attend first day of the camp.
They may skip dates thereafter.
Intermediate and Advanced students may start or stop any day.

Estimated chess level (Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced)

If your child has played in our chess tournaments and has won a 1st through 5th place trophy, your child is probably an advanced player. If your child has won a lesser trophy or not placed, they are probably an intermediate player. If your child has not played in our tournaments but understands castling, check and checkmate, they are at least an intermediate player.  If, in addition, they understand stalemate and en passant as well, they may be an advanced player.  If your child doesn’t know the moves at all or is sometimes confused, they are probably a beginner.  Sequoia Chess Camp staff interviews each child individually for final placement
